The MS 661 C-M professional saw is the successor to the MS 660 and as a completely new development, it is characterised by higher power, lower weight and lower vibration values.
Designed for professional use within forestry and big timber harvesting, it is the world’s lightest 90 cc class, 5.4 kW rated professional chain saw.

New oil pump system – oil delivery rate is adjustable; user can increase flow rate when working with long cutting attachments or dry wood
Easily removable HD2 filter with radial seal preventing fine dust being drawn into the engine
New professional anti-vibration system providing vibration levels 20-25% lower than MS 660
Roller chain catcher – for low wear
Double bumper spike – for good control when bucking and felling
Plunge guide – raised rib on rewind starter facilitates directional control in plunge cutting
Carburettor cover can be removed without tools

The decompression valve is part of the easy starting system. The valve should be pressed before starting to reduce the compression pressure when starting, as well as reducing the effort needed to pull the starter rope. The decompression valve is semi-automatic; it must be pressed manually before starting, but then closes automatically.
